No Suspension for Olesz

The NHL won't be suspending Rostislav Olesz for his hit on Chris Lee Monday night after reviewing tape of the incident.

Lee, who has no
NHL experience, was hit hard into the boards after turning his back to a hit and Olesz was assessed a five minute major for checking-from-behind along with a game misconduct while Lee remained on the ice for several minutes before being taken off on a stretcher and moved to a local hospital for tests and observation.

After the hit, an Islanders' spokesman said Lee had movement and was conscious, and with good news, after an overnight stay in hospital, Lee was released and cleared to re-join the team. He was cut and reassigned to Bridgeport of the American Hockey League during the day.

Olesz, on the other hand, will be playing come Friday night and you can only hope it doesn't affect the way he plays.
